Leathercraft Workshops

Every class opens the same way. Before a knife touches leather, you'll go through the hide on the bench, the tools you'll use, and how each one is handled safely. Roughly the first third of a class is materials and technique; the rest is bench work.

From there you cut your own strap, bevel and burnish the edges, set brass or steel hardware, and stamp your initials into the finished piece. You work one-on-one at a single bench in South Beach, at your own pace, with every tool within reach.

Premium vegetable-tanned leather, hardware, professional tools, and safety equipment are included. No experience is assumed and none is needed — you'll leave wearing or carrying what you made.

Want to make something else?

Both classes teach the same core sequence — cut, bevel, burnish, punch, set hardware, stamp. Change the dimensions and those steps produce a belt; change the hardware and they produce a watch strap, a dog collar, or a luggage tag. If you had a different piece in mind, tell me what it is and I'll let you know whether it fits one class.
