OVERVIEW
Welcome to Deco Leather Studio. The terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to Deco Leather Studio LLC. Deco Leather Studio operates this website and its in-person studio workshops, including all related information, content, features, tools, workshops, and services (collectively, the "Services").
The below terms and conditions, together with any policies referenced herein (these "Terms of Service" or "Terms"), describe your rights and responsibilities when you use our website, request or pay for a booking, or attend our in-person workshops.
Please read these Terms of Service carefully. By visiting our website, sending a booking request, paying for a class, or attending a workshop, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy (https://decoleatherstudio.com/policies/privacy-policy), our Refund & Cancellation Policy (https://decoleatherstudio.com/policies/refund-policy), and our Participant Agreement & Liability Waiver (https://decoleatherstudio.com/pages/studio-liability-waiver-terms-conditions). If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use our Services or attend in-person workshops.
1ACCESS AND ELIGIBILITY
By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age.
All in-person workshops at Deco Leather Studio are restricted to participants 18 years of age or older. We do not accept minor participants under any circumstances, including when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Valid government-issued photo identification is required on arrival. Participants who cannot verify age will be denied entry, and the booking will be treated as a no-show under our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
You represent and warrant that all information provided in a booking request, on a payment page, or on the participant waiver is accurate, complete, and current. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your booking details.
2IN-PERSON WORKSHOPS & SAFETY RULES
When attending any in-person workshop or class hosted by Deco Leather Studio:
(a) Safety compliance. You agree to follow all safety instructions, guidance, and rules provided by studio instructors. Hand tools, cutting equipment, and finishing chemicals must be handled strictly as instructed.
(b) Appropriate attire. Participants are required to wear appropriate clothing for manual craft work. Fitted clothing is recommended and closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended.
(c) Health disclosures. Workshops involve prolonged use of hand tools, contact with vegetable-tanned leather, leather dyes, adhesives, and finishing compounds, and exposure to leather dust. You are responsible for disclosing any relevant allergy, sensitivity, injury, or medical condition before your class so that reasonable accommodations can be considered. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
(d) Right of refusal and removal. Deco Leather Studio reserves the right to deny entry to, or remove from the studio, any participant whose behavior is unsafe, disruptive, or who appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. No refund of any amount paid will be issued in these circumstances.
(e) Participant waiver. All workshop attendees must complete and sign our Participant Agreement & Liability Waiver before participating in any hands-on bench activity. Participants who have not signed the waiver will not be permitted to begin the class.
(f) Personal property. Deco Leather Studio is not responsible for loss of or damage to personal belongings brought to the studio.
(g) Studio location and privacy. The studio is a private workspace. Exact address and arrival instructions are provided after your booking is paid and are for your personal use only. Please do not publish or share the studio address.
3WORKSHOP BOOKINGS, RESCHEDULING & CANCELLATIONS
Booking requests. Workshops are booked by request through the booking form on our website. A booking request is not a reservation. Deco Leather Studio reserves the right to accept or decline any request.
Confirmation and payment. If a requested time is available, we will confirm it by email with a link to pay for the class in full, including applicable sales tax. The confirmed time is held until the earlier of 24 hours after the link is sent or 12 hours before the class start time. A booking is made when payment is received; if payment is not made within that period, the link expires and the confirmed time is released.
Minimum notice. Workshops require at least 12 hours' notice. Requests for a class starting within 12 hours of the request cannot be accepted.
Rescheduling. Bookings may be rescheduled up to 24 hours before the scheduled class start time by emailing info@decoleatherstudio.com. Rescheduling is limited to one change per booking, the rescheduled class must take place within 90 days of the original date, and the payment carries over to the new date.
Cancellations. Cancellations requested 48 hours or more before the class start time are eligible for a full refund or studio credit valid for 12 months. For cancellations made within 48 hours of the class, and for no-shows, the class is non-refundable, as bench time is reserved exclusively and materials are prepared in advance for each participant. If a booking is made less than 48 hours before the class start time, it may be cancelled within one hour of payment for a full refund, by emailing info@decoleatherstudio.com.
Rescheduled bookings. Refund eligibility is calculated from the originally booked class time, not the rescheduled date.
Transfers. Bookings may be transferred to another person at no charge up to 24 hours before the class, provided the substitute participant is 18 years of age or older and completes the Participant Agreement & Liability Waiver before arrival. Email info@decoleatherstudio.com with their full name and email address.
Late arrival. Classes begin at the scheduled time. Arrivals more than 15 minutes late will receive a shortened class at full tuition. Arrivals more than 30 minutes late are recorded as no-shows.
Cancellation by the studio. If we must cancel a class due to severe weather, instructor illness, equipment failure, or emergency studio closure, you will be notified as soon as possible and may choose a full refund of all amounts paid or priority rescheduling at no additional cost.

4PRICES, PAYMENT AND TAXES
Prices for workshops and services are subject to change without notice. The price in effect when you pay applies to that booking. All prices are listed in USD and exclude applicable Florida state and local sales tax.
Classes are paid in full online, through a secure payment link, when you book. Florida sales tax is calculated at checkout and added to the tuition. Nothing is paid at the studio.
Tuition is all-inclusive of leather, hardware, and use of studio tools and equipment for the duration of your class.
We make every effort to accurately display workshop project images and materials. Because vegetable-tanned leather is an organic material, variation in color, grain, and natural marking is expected and is a characteristic of the material rather than a defect.
5INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content on this site, including logos, designs, photography, curriculum, patterns, workshop instructional materials, text, and graphics, is the exclusive intellectual property of Deco Leather Studio LLC. You are granted a limited license for personal, non-commercial use only.
Items you craft during a workshop are yours to keep and use personally. Instructional materials, patterns, and templates provided during a class may not be reproduced, distributed, taught, or used for commercial production without our prior written permission.
6THIRD-PARTY TOOLS AND SERVICES
We use third-party services to operate the website and handle bookings, including Cloudflare (website hosting), Web3Forms (booking request delivery), Stripe (payment processing), and Cognito Forms (participant waiver). You acknowledge that these services are provided "as is" and are subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not liable for outages, errors, or data handling by third-party providers.
7LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DECO LEATHER STUDIO LLC, ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OUR WEBSITE, YOUR BOOKINGS, OR YOUR PARTICIPATION IN HANDS-ON WORKSHOPS, EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED IN OUR PARTICIPANT AGREEMENT & LIABILITY WAIVER.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
8CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms of Service at any time by posting a revised version on this page and updating the "Last updated" date above. Changes take effect when posted. The Terms in effect on the date your payment is made govern that booking. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
9SEVERABILITY AND WAIVER
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
10GOVERNING LAW
These Terms of Service and any separate agreements for Services or workshops shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
