OVERVIEW

Welcome to Deco Leather Studio. The terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to Deco Leather Studio LLC. Deco Leather Studio operates this website, online booking store, and in-person studio experience, including all related information, content, features, tools, workshops, and services (collectively, the "Services"). Deco Leather Studio is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.

The below terms and conditions, together with any policies referenced herein (these "Terms of Service" or "Terms") describe your rights and responsibilities when you use our website or attend our in-person workshops.

Please read these Terms of Service carefully. By visiting, interacting with, booking a workshop, or purchasing through our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy (https://decoleatherstudio.com/policies/privacy-policy), our Refund & Cancellation Policy (https://decoleatherstudio.com/policies/refund-policy), and our Participant Agreement & Liability Waiver (https://decoleatherstudio.com/pages/studio-liability-waiver-terms-conditions). If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use our Services or attend in-person workshops.

SECTION 1 – ACCESS AND ELIGIBILITY

By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age.

All in-person workshops at Deco Leather Studio are restricted to participants 18 years of age or older. We do not accept minor participants under any circumstances, including when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Valid government-issued photo identification is required on arrival. Participants who cannot verify age will be denied entry, and the booking will be treated as a no-show under our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

You represent and warrant that all information provided during checkout or booking (including contact, billing, and participant details) is accurate, complete, and current. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your booking details.

SECTION 2 – IN-PERSON WORKSHOPS & SAFETY RULES

When attending any in-person workshop or class hosted by Deco Leather Studio:

(a) Safety compliance. You agree to follow all safety instructions, guidance, and rules provided by studio instructors. Hand tools, cutting equipment, and finishing chemicals must be handled strictly as instructed.

(b) Appropriate attire. Participants are required to wear appropriate clothing for manual craft work. Fitted clothing is recommended and closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended.

(c) Health disclosures. Workshops involve prolonged use of hand tools, contact with vegetable-tanned leather, leather dyes, adhesives, and finishing compounds, and exposure to leather dust. You are responsible for disclosing any relevant allergy, sensitivity, injury, or medical condition prior to your session so that reasonable accommodations can be considered. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

(d) Right of refusal and removal. Deco Leather Studio reserves the right to deny entry to, or remove from the studio, any participant whose behavior is unsafe, disruptive, or who appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. No refund will be issued in these circumstances.

(e) Participant waiver. All workshop attendees must complete and sign our Participant Agreement & Liability Waiver prior to participating in any hands-on bench activity. Participants who have not signed the waiver will not be permitted to begin the session.

(f) Personal property. Deco Leather Studio is not responsible for loss of or damage to personal belongings brought to the studio.

(g) Studio location and privacy. The studio is a private workspace. Exact address and arrival instructions are provided following booking confirmation and are for your personal use only. Please do not publish or share the studio address.

SECTION 3 – WORKSHOP BOOKINGS, RESCHEDULING & CANCELLATIONS

All workshop bookings made through our site constitute an offer to purchase. Deco Leather Studio reserves the right to accept or decline any booking.

Rescheduling. Bookings may be rescheduled up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled session start time via the link in your booking confirmation email. Rescheduling is limited to one change per booking, and the rescheduled session must take place within 90 days of the original date.

Cancellations. Cancellations requested 48 hours or more prior to the session start time are eligible for a full refund or studio credit. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the session, and no-shows, are non-refundable, as bench time is reserved exclusively and materials are prepared in advance for each participant. If a booking is made less than 48 hours before the session start time, it may be cancelled within one hour of booking for a full refund.

Rescheduled bookings. Refund eligibility is calculated from the originally booked session time, not the rescheduled date.

Transfers. Bookings may be transferred to another person at no charge up to 24 hours prior to the session, provided the substitute participant is 18 years of age or older and completes the Participant Agreement & Liability Waiver before arrival. Email info@decoleatherstudio.com with their full name and email address.

Late arrival. Sessions begin at the scheduled time. Arrivals more than 15 minutes late will receive a shortened session at full tuition. Arrivals more than 30 minutes late are recorded as no-shows.

Gift bookings. Workshops purchased as a gift are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and are subject to the same rescheduling, cancellation, and eligibility terms.

Cancellation by the studio. If we must cancel a session due to severe weather, instructor illness, equipment failure, or emergency studio closure, you will be notified as soon as possible and may choose a full refund or priority rescheduling at no additional cost.

SECTION 4 – PRICES, TAXES AND BILLING

Prices for workshops and services are subject to change without notice. All prices are listed in USD. Displayed prices exclude applicable Florida state and local sales tax, which is calculated and added at checkout where applicable.

Workshop tuition is charged in full at the time of booking unless otherwise stated. Tuition is all-inclusive of leather, hardware, and use of studio tools and equipment for the duration of your session.

We make every effort to accurately display workshop project images and materials. Because vegetable-tanned leather is an organic material, variation in color, grain, and natural marking is expected and is a characteristic of the material rather than a defect.

SECTION 5 – INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on this site, including logos, designs, photography, curriculum, patterns, workshop instructional materials, text, and graphics, is the exclusive intellectual property of Deco Leather Studio LLC. You are granted a limited license for personal, non-commercial use only.

Items you craft during a workshop are yours to keep and use personally. Instructional materials, patterns, and templates provided during a session may not be reproduced, distributed, taught, or used for commercial production without our prior written permission.

SECTION 6 – THIRD-PARTY TOOLS AND SERVICES

We provide access to third-party booking, payment, and documentation tools, including Hoppy Appointments, Shopify Payments, and Cognito Forms. You acknowledge that these tools are provided "as is" and are subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not liable for outages, errors, or data handling by third-party providers.

SECTION 7 – RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY

Deco Leather Studio is powered by Shopify, which provides the online engine for our Services. Bookings and purchases are made directly with Deco Leather Studio LLC. Shopify is not responsible for any sales, workshops, or physical studio operations, and you release Shopify from any claims related to transactions or studio participation.

SECTION 8 – LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DECO LEATHER STUDIO LLC, ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OUR WEBSITE, YOUR BOOKINGS, OR YOUR PARTICIPATION IN HANDS-ON WORKSHOPS, EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED IN OUR PARTICIPANT AGREEMENT & LIABILITY WAIVER.

Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

SECTION 9 – CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms of Service at any time by posting a revised version on this page and updating the "Last updated" date above. Changes take effect when posted. The Terms in effect on the date of your booking govern that booking. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

SECTION 10 – SEVERABILITY AND WAIVER

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

SECTION 11 – GOVERNING LAW

These Terms of Service and any separate agreements for Services or workshops shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
