I'm self-taught, which means I know exactly where beginners get stuck. Nothing here assumes you've held a leather tool before.

Who teaches the classes?
Classes are taught by Mikhail, the leatherworker behind Deco Leather Studio. Every class is taught one-on-one by the same person who runs the bench — this is a working production studio, not a franchise or a rotating roster of part-time instructors. You're learning the techniques used to make real goods, on real equipment.
What classes do you offer?
Deco Leather Studio offers private leathercraft classes in Miami Beach, Florida. Current classes:
Leather Keychain — 2.5 hours, $150 + tax
Leather Cuff Bracelet — 3 hours, $175 + tax
Every class includes all leather, hardware, use of professional studio tools, and refreshments. You leave with the finished piece you made.
Do I need any experience?
No. Every class at Deco Leather Studio is designed for complete beginners, and most people who book have never picked up a leather tool. Because classes are private, instruction adjusts to your level — experienced makers are welcome too.
Do you teach in any language other than English?
Classes run in English or Russian, whichever you prefer. Mention it in your booking request, or just say so when you arrive — classes are one student at a time, so it takes no arranging. The booking form, payment pages, and participant waiver are in English only.

Can I make something other than a bracelet or keychain?
The two classes are the leather keychain and the leather cuff bracelet, and those are the pieces you'll make and take home. The techniques behind them — cutting, edge beveling and burnishing, hardware setting, and stamping — carry over to belts, watch straps, dog collars, and luggage tags.

Is this a good rainy-day activity in Miami Beach?
It's one of the better ones. Classes are entirely indoors at the South Beach studio, run 2.5 to 3 hours, and are walkable from most South Beach hotels.
Classes need at least 12 hours' notice, so if the forecast looks wet, send a request the day before. You'll leave with a finished leather piece you made yourself rather than something bought from a shop.

Deco Leather Studio is a private leatherworking studio located inside a residence in the South Beach neighborhood of Miami Beach, Florida — not a commercial storefront. It's a dedicated workspace with a heavy-duty workbench, custom tool racks, and professional leather equipment, set up for one student at a time. The exact address and arrival instructions are sent once your class is paid for.
How do I book?
Send a booking request with the class you'd like and two or three dates and times that work for you. I'll reply with a confirmed time and a payment link. Your class is booked once it's paid, and there's nothing to pay at the studio.
