Participant Agreement & Liability Waiver

Please read this document carefully. By signing this document, you are waiving certain legal rights, including the right to sue Deco Leather Studio LLC, its owners, instructors, and affiliates, for injuries or damages sustained during leathercraft workshops.

1Voluntary Participation & Class Description

I, the undersigned, acknowledge that I have voluntarily registered to participate in a hands-on leathercraft workshop hosted by Deco Leather Studio LLC. I understand that this class involves structural instruction and the physical execution of leatherworking techniques using hand and powered tools.

2Age Verification & Eligibility

I certify that I am 18 years of age or older. I understand that Deco Leather Studio workshops are restricted to adults 18 and over, that no minor participants are permitted under any circumstances, and that I must present valid government-issued photo identification on arrival. I understand that if I cannot verify my age, I will be denied entry and my booking will be treated as a no-show under the studio's Refund & Cancellation Policy.

3Assumption of Risk (Inherent Hazards)

I recognize that leathercraft requires the active manipulation of raw materials and the intentional use of specialized industrial and hand tools. I explicitly acknowledge and assume all inherent physical risks associated with the workspace, which include, but are not limited to, handling the following:

• Sharp edged cutting tools: head knives, utility blades, rotary cutters, skiving knives, and specialized leather shears.
• Impact & piercing tools: heavy mallets, mauls, stitching chisels, awls, pricking irons, and hole punches.
• Thermal & mechanical equipment: electric creasing irons, hot stamping machines, and hardware setting tools.
• Chemical compounds & solvents: leather dyes, alcohol-based finishes, contact cements, strong adhesives, and edge paints.
• Airborne particulate: leather dust and fibers generated during cutting, sanding, and burnishing.

I understand that handling these materials carries the risk of minor or severe cuts, punctures, thermal burns, skin irritation, respiratory irritation, chemical exposure, allergic reaction, or other accidental physical injury. I accept these risks voluntarily and with full knowledge.

4Health Disclosure & Medical Authorization

I confirm that I am physically able to participate in a hands-on workshop of this nature and that I have disclosed to the studio any allergy, sensitivity, injury, or medical condition that could affect my safe participation. I understand that the studio cannot guarantee an environment free of leather dust, dyes, adhesives, or other allergens.

In the event of injury or medical emergency, I authorize Deco Leather Studio LLC to summon emergency medical assistance on my behalf. I accept full financial responsibility for any medical treatment, transport, or care provided.

5Release of Liability & Covenant Not to Sue

In consideration for being permitted to participate in the workshop, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Deco Leather Studio LLC, its individual owners, officers, members, contract instructors, employees, property owners, and building management from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or rights of action arising out of ordinary negligence, personal injury, property damage, or accidental death occurring during or as a result of my presence at the studio or participation in the class.

6Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Deco Leather Studio LLC, its owners, instructors, employees, property owners, and building management from any claim, loss, damage, or expense — including reasonable attorney's fees — brought by any third party and arising from my own acts or omissions during my presence at the studio.

7Safety Compliance & Studio Conduct

I agree to strictly adhere to all safety protocols, operational guidelines, and verbal instruction provided by the workshop instructor. I agree to wear any required personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses or aprons, if directed.

I certify that I am not under the influence of alcohol, cannabis, or any drug or medication that impairs coordination, judgment, or reaction time, and I agree not to consume any such substance during my session.

I understand that the instructor retains absolute authority to terminate my participation immediately, without refund, if my behavior compromises the safety of myself or others in the studio.

8Finished Items & Use After the Workshop

I understand that any item I craft during the workshop is made by me, under instruction, and is not a manufactured or inspected product of Deco Leather Studio LLC. I accept full responsibility for the condition and subsequent use of any item I create and take home, and I release Deco Leather Studio LLC from any liability arising from its use, wear, failure, or modification after I leave the studio.

9Personal Property

I understand that Deco Leather Studio LLC is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of any personal belongings I bring to the studio, including clothing damaged by dyes, adhesives, or finishing compounds.

10Studio Location & Confidentiality

I understand that the studio is a private workspace and that the address and arrival instructions provided to me are for my personal use only. I agree not to publish, post, or share the studio address.

11Media & Promotional Release — OPTIONAL

This section is entirely optional. Declining will not affect your workshop in any way.

• I grant permission. I authorize Deco Leather Studio LLC to capture photographs and video during my workshop session and to use these assets for promotional, social media, marketing, editorial, or portfolio purposes on Deco Leather Studio channels, without financial compensation to me.
• I decline. I do not consent to being photographed or recorded. Images of work I produce may still be used, provided I am not identifiable.

12Governing Law, Venue & Severability

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action arising under this agreement shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.

If any provision or portion of this waiver is determined to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining sections shall continue in full force and effect.

13Acknowledgment & Electronic Signature

I acknowledge that this agreement may be signed electronically and that my electronic signature carries the same legal force and effect as a handwritten signature.

BY SIGNING BELOW, I CERTIFY THAT I AM 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER, THAT I HAVE READ THIS DOCUMENT, THAT I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, THAT I UNDERSTAND I AM GIVING UP SUBSTANTIAL LEGAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND THAT I SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY.
