Classes are taught by Mikhail, the leatherworker behind Deco Leather Studio. Every session is taught one-on-one by the same person who runs the bench — this is a working production studio, not a franchise or a rotating roster of part-time instructors. You're learning the techniques used to make real goods, on real equipment.

Deco Leather Studio offers private leathercraft classes in Miami Beach, Florida. Current classes:

Leather Keychain — 2.5 hours, $150

Leather Cuff Bracelet — 3 hours, $175

Every class includes all leather, hardware, use of professional studio tools, and refreshments. You leave with the finished piece you made.

Booking is fully self-serve. Choose a class on the Deco Leather Studio website, pick a date and time from the booking calendar, and check out online. You'll receive a confirmation email straight away with your session details, the studio address, and a link to your participant waiver. No back-and-forth required.

It's one of the better ones. Classes are entirely indoors at our South Beach studio, run 2.5 to 3 hours, and are walkable from most South Beach hotels. Sessions are booked online and same-day slots are often available, so it works well when a beach day falls through. You'll leave with a finished leather piece you made yourself rather than something bought from a shop.

No. Every class at Deco Leather Studio is designed for complete beginners, and most people who book have never picked up a leather tool. Because sessions are private, instruction adjusts to your level — experienced makers are welcome too.

Most people who book have never used a leather tool, and the classes are built for exactly that. Because sessions are one-on-one, the pace is entirely yours — nothing is rushed, nothing is skipped, and there's no group to keep up with. Every student finishes their piece.

Yes — that's much of the point. The sequence taught in a Deco Leather Studio class is the same one used across leather goods generally: cutting, edge beveling and burnishing, hole punching, hardware setting, and stamping. Students who learn on a bracelet have everything needed to make a belt, a watch strap, a dog collar, or a guitar strap. Only the dimensions and hardware change.

All classes at Deco Leather Studio are currently one-on-one — a single student per session. You get undivided instruction and the session moves entirely at your pace.

Sessions are currently limited to one student at a time. If two of you would like to take a class, you're welcome to book consecutive time slots — email info@decoleatherstudio.com and we'll help line them up.

Classes run in English or Russian, whichever you prefer. Tell me which when you book, or just mention it when you arrive — sessions are one student at a time, so it takes no arranging. The website, checkout, and participant waiver are in English only.

Yes. Any Deco Leather Studio class can be purchased as a gift, and makes a strong experience gift for anyone interested in craftsmanship or working with their hands. Gift bookings are valid for 12 months from purchase, and the recipient chooses their own date.

Yes. All classes at Deco Leather Studio are limited to participants 18 years and older. Sessions involve cutting tools, hot equipment, and chemical finishes, so for safety and insurance reasons we cannot accommodate minors — including when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Valid government-issued photo ID is required and checked on arrival.
